Utah-Janna

Not really in order, but here are some pictures from our recent trip to Utah.

On our way home from Utah. We got our own row in the back and when the plane landed we had to wait for a little while before getting off. The flight attendant let Evie play on her seat. It was a fantastic flight. 

While we were in Utah, my family whisked Janna away so we could spend some time with her without visitors every second. So we went up to Park City.

The hotel was amazing. There were 6 hot tubs and a swimming pool.

Etsy/Zulily

For those wondering about my etsy store, there is a link to it on the side of my blog. It is called Turquoise and June. I actually made another sale- thank you Rita- and ended up buying Evie some rain boots from Zulily with some of the money. It was my first time buying from Zulily, I'm pretty excited. And, because I just can't help myself, here are some Evie pictures.

 We got to watch Evie's friend Piper last week. Evie wanted to join her on a little train ride.

 Bubbles. Probably her favorite part of the day (except for when she sees panini the dog and has to go over and say hi).

 "Woh Mohr" with her finger extended, letting me know she wants to read her number book one more time before going to bed.

 Ya, that little stinker. Climbed up there all by herself.

Yup, right before breakfast, I was literally making eggs, bacon, and french toast, when she found the marshmallows. I guess they were just much easier than waiting for breakfast to be ready. 

Two nights ago I decided it was time to take the front part of her crib off and make it into a toddler bed. (She had gotten her knee stuck in the slats of the crib two times in what I can only assume were failed escape attempts). She loves being able to climb into bed by herself. 

Etsy sale!

I made my first sale on etsy! She even bought three! I'm so excited about the sale! Is it sad that I just want to buy Evie clothes with my profit? Haha. I haven't yet, but I am sure tempted.

Aunt Janna sent some gifts from London. Evie loves the flags! I've hidden her headband so it will still be alive when Janna gets home. (Don't mind her filthy shirt, this was right after/during dinner)



She wanted to play dress ups, and then she kept saying, "itchy," until she ripped the dress off herself.

We went to meet Jason downtown for lunch one day (obviously a byu game day), we waited and waited, and I let Evie play in the dirt with "sticks!" while we waited.

A is for adorable!

My friend just had a baby and let me practice taking pictures using her newborn as my model! We were cut a little short because Evie was having some issues with teething so I got to hold her while taking some pictures. Needless to say it was a little difficult at that point. However, we got some GREAT pictures! I forget how very much I love tiny newborns!! Anyways, I'm so glad Brittney let me use her two beautiful girls to practice!

Happy birthday Jason!

Jason's birthday was on Saturday, but we waited until Monday to go out to celebrate. (His birthday coupon wasn't good for weekends)

Evie stayed up past her bedtime. It is very rare that I will let her stay up past bedtime, but I made an exception for Jason's birthday. She was getting a bit cranky and didn't really want to eat her food (in the beginning) so I let her try a lemon... she loved it! The lemon in the above picture is actually her second slice of lemon.

Montana... so far

 We're up in Montana visiting for a couple of days. We went out to a delicious place for breakfast called Stella's. While we were waiting to be seated Evie wanted to floss her teeth.

 Jason and I got to go to a gun club and shoot. It was my first time shooting a gun other than a bb gun. (I hit the target a couple of times)

We've been doing a LOT of shopping. It's actually been quite a bit of fun. I'm not usually a fan of shopping, unless it's for Evie, then it's the best, but I digress. We scored some insanely cute things. This picture is kind of blurry, but you can still see Evie's blue skinny jeans (Gap), and yellow striped shirt with a bow (also Gap).
We are staying an extra half a day than planned so we will get to take a couple more pictures and I'll post them later.
(Also, do you see these toys! Denny and Rita scored some amazing toys at garage sales for Evie to play with while here. We might even bring some back with us to share with our nursery (we'll just have to see if we have room in the car).

Fun toys

One of our friends made a gorgeous play kitchen, which has made me a little obsessed. I first wanted to make one myself, but I really wouldn't be able to pull it off. And while we're on the "play item" topic, here is another awesome find! Evie loves "helping" me with the laundry. She will put clothes in the washing machine, and move them to the basket. She also likes to try to clean out the dryer lint sheet (I catch her before she can start playing with the lint, the silly goose).

In between chasing the rabbits and just plain old running around, I got a couple of pictures of her in the dress and headband/flower I made her.

7/20/2012 Century 16 shooting

In case anyone was wondering, we are all ok. We did not go to the movie last night. And for those who don't know, there was a shooting at the Century 16 theater in Aurora, a couple of miles away from us. It is "our theater" the theater we go to. We are big movie buffs and we go to midnight showings. Jason is a huge fan of the batman series as am I, luckily Jason was too busy/tired from working, and had to get up for work pretty early.
It's horrific what happened and I am so grateful we weren't there. We have been watching the news most of the day. We did go get some groceries from walmart, which is really close the century 16 theater. They had all roads leading to the theater blocked with cones and police tape. They had a news helicopter up in the sky above the theater.
Anyways, I just wanted to get it out there, we are ok. There are still people in critical condition and we continue to pray for them.

After swimming we got to play inside. It's always so much fun playing somewhere new, with friends and new toys!
