Montana... so far

We're up in Montana visiting for a couple of days. We went out to a delicious place for breakfast called Stella's. While we were waiting to be seated Evie wanted to floss her teeth.
Jason and I got to go to a gun club and shoot. It was my first time shooting a gun other than a bb gun. (I hit the target a couple of times)
Jason hit it more than me.
 Gun club rules.

We've been doing a LOT of shopping. It's actually been quite a bit of fun. I'm not usually a fan of shopping, unless it's for Evie, then it's the best, but I digress. We scored some insanely cute things. This picture is kind of blurry, but you can still see Evie's blue skinny jeans (Gap), and yellow striped shirt with a bow (also Gap).
We are staying an extra half a day than planned so we will get to take a couple more pictures and I'll post them later.
(Also, do you see these toys! Denny and Rita scored some amazing toys at garage sales for Evie to play with while here. We might even bring some back with us to share with our nursery (we'll just have to see if we have room in the car).

Fun toys

One of our friends made a gorgeous play kitchen, which has made me a little obsessed. I first wanted to make one myself, but I really wouldn't be able to pull it off. So I've been looking online for cute play kitchens. They are all decently expensive, but compared to some, they aren't that bad, and the reviews say they are "sturdy" and "hold up well." Anyways. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Guidecraft Hideaway Country Kitchen Play Kitchen- $117.99

http://www.amazon.com/Guidecraft-Hideaway-Country-Kitchen-Play/dp/B004IZWH6S/ref=sr_1_292?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1344134659&sr=1-292&keywords=play+kitchen#

KidKraft Uptown Espresso Kitchen

$189.95

KidKraft Blue Vintage Kitchen

$159.95

And while we're on the "play item" topic, here is another awesome find! Evie loves "helping" me with the laundry. She will put clothes in the washing machine, and move them to the basket. She also likes to try to clean out the dryer lint sheet (I catch her before she can start playing with the lint, the silly goose).

Miele Toy Washing Machine

$34.83

some pictures from my phone

Siblings before Janna left on her mission.

Evie found my pearls and had Jason put them on her.

It rained the other day and Evie really wanted to play outside. She got mad that I had to go upstairs to get her coat.

Evie playing with the car seat.

Had lunch at a friend's house with all the little girls.

We got to have our friend over this morning while her mom was singing. She so kindly asked me if she could use Evie's broom. Haha. We had a lot of fun!

cuteness!

In between chasing the rabbits and just plain old running around, I got a couple of pictures of her in the dress and headband/flower I made her.

7/20/2012 Century 16 shooting

In case anyone was wondering, we are all ok. We did not go to the movie last night. And for those who don't know, there was a shooting at the Century 16 theater in Aurora, a couple of miles away from us. It is "our theater" the theater we go to. We are big movie buffs and we go to midnight showings. Jason is a huge fan of the batman series as am I, luckily Jason was too busy/tired from working, and had to get up for work pretty early.
It's horrific what happened and I am so grateful we weren't there. We have been watching the news most of the day. We did go get some groceries from walmart, which is really close the century 16 theater. They had all roads leading to the theater blocked with cones and police tape. They had a news helicopter up in the sky above the theater.
Anyways, I just wanted to get it out there, we are ok. There are still people in critical condition and we continue to pray for them.

A couple of photos

This was a no nap day... Absolutely not my favorite type of day.

Watching little Einstein's.

Skype with Penny (or as Evie says it, "Pebby").

The memory on this girl! She found the temporal scanner and knew exactly what to do with it! (After she got up on her tiptoes and knocked it off the shelf so she could play with it)

We were lucky enough to be invited to our friend's house to go swimming today. Evie was in heaven in their backyard!

After swimming we got to play inside. It's always so much fun playing somewhere new, with friends and new toys!

Pictures from Utah

We got to go to Utah for the 4th! Jason had to stay home (surgery rotation). We arrived on Monday night (our flight was delayed so it was a couple of hours past bedtime), Evie did great on the plane and while we were at the airport we ran into Mikelle and her daughter (a friend from high school)! It was great being able to run around with the girls while Mikelle got to rest and watch the luggage (she had been stuck at the Texas airport for four days trying to find a flight home. We flew into the Provo airport which was amazing. I loved it.
We had so much fun in Utah. We didn't take as many pictures as we should have haha. Evie had so much fun with everyone. Here are some pictures.

Me, Evie, Kambry, Mikelle

Penny, Tanner, and Evie jumping on the tramp.

Shoulder ride with Grandpa.

Evie on a stroller ride with Tan.

Trying out Penny's hammock with Tan.

Eating cookie crisp.

Evie saw Chloe climbing over the baby gate and the lightbulb went off. She immediately tried climbing it herself.

Grandpa Den in his festive jacket!

We went to the Neilson's grove park and played on the swings.

Playing the playhouse with grandma Rita.

On the way to the Provo airport.

Playing with the seatbelt on the airplane.

 Playing with Kate and Penny.
Trying to squirm out of my arms so she can play.
 Playing with Tan.
 Going down the slide.

Metta let me take some pictures of Cici while we were there. I didn't bring my own camera so I got to use Tanner's. These are some of my favorites.

I also got to take some of my other cousin's baby
She's about 3 weeks old so she was harder to position, but I think we got some cute pictures in the tiny amount of time.
