Events

I put Evie's hair in pigtails! Every week the ladies head to the mall and do some walking, then let the kids play in this fun play area there. This the least blurry picture I had.

Last Friday, after Jason had finished his last in class exam, we headed over to On the Border restaurant, in southeast aurora. The food was good, and afterward, since we were out there anyway, we went to babies r us and world market. Jason stayed in the car and studied (don't worry, he has step one coming up in April, so he will spend the month of March studying for it) while Evie and I went in.
We finished our shopping and went to drive home. The car wouldn't start. The engine wouldn't even turn over, and it made a clicking noise when I tried to start it. The light had just gone on E so we were going to get gas on the way home, we even turned the engine off while Jason waited. I started to get anxious. It was around 5 and I was so ready to go home, actually, we all were.
We looked up how far a gas station was, 4 miles, we figured there had to be one closer, but Jason was studying and I was not eager to go walking around in search for a gas station. We realized we had roadside assistance (yes, you can call me lazy. However, I like to think I'm resourceful). I had to download the app on my phone and then I called. I told them I thought we might just be out of gas. They sent someone out with enough gas to get us to a gas station. We poured the gas in and tried to start the car... No dice. Then I really started to get upset. It was 5:45. The rescue person checked our battery and said it was fine, until we tried to start the engine. So he gave us a jump and we finally got to go home...
I switched the car seat to the little car and we, I, will hopefully go get gas and a new battery tomorrow.
Oh, and I gave Evie little bites of this chocolate block I bought in world market while we were waiting, and them she stole the whole thing from me and started eating it. (that's what is going on in the picture)

We went to the park near our place the other day. The weather was lovely. Evie loves animals so she kept following this dog around, it was a very nice dog and Evie would follow him and pet him and talk to him.

She loves feeding herself and doesn't do too bad a job. She actually does get the spoon in her mouth.

I put her hair in a ponytail. Here she was reading while daddy was studying.
