Washington DC

First things first. Jason had an interview at George Washington University in Washington DC a couple of weeks ago, and I was lucky enough to go with him. While he interviewed I checked out the city, and when he was finished with the interview we went around together. It was a lot of fun, and way cool! Unfortunately I forgot to bring an actual camera so I had to make due with my phone. Here are some pictures.

Taking the metro to our hotel

First day: Washington monument

Farmers market outside the department of agriculture

This freaked me out a little. There was a helicopter overhead, ambulance, firetruck, firemen all dressed up, more cop cars not in the picture, and more cop cars on the other side of the building too.
Turns out it was just a security drill.
The White house

Awesome map made of each state's license plates found in one of the Smithsonians.
International spy museum

Museum of the American Indian

The national book festival outside of the Library of congress. There were so many people it was crazy, and such amazing authors!

Haha, you seem to forget your camera a lot. Best solution is to just leave it in your purse or backpack, cos then you can whip it out whenever! It works wonders! Plus, a book festival sounds amazing. :)
