Utah--again...

Yes, after going to Utah in July then Montana we still weren't quite sick of traveling so we decided to go back to Utah. My younger sister, Kate, decided to go on a mission, and since Evie and I were so nice, and drove Jason up to Montana so he could study for/and then take his test, he thought it would be nice for us to go back to Utah to say goodbye. We had quite the adventure. It was a ridiculously busy time, but also great to have my family all together.

We arrived on Wednesday morning and partied the whole time...
"Mom! Come in here!" Evie yelled to me, when I went into my parent's room I found these four in the bed ready for a nap...
Kate was nice enough to pull out the American girl doll collection out, along with a couple accessories. Evie eventually snapped one of the teepee sticks (hopefully it can be glued back together).
She sure had fun playing with everything though!
Especially the doll bed and bedding. She even wanted to take it with her to bed.
We rode frontrunner up to Salt Lake. Evie loved that we were on a choo choo train!
"We on a choo choo train!"
I had to run to the store to pick something up for Jason and my sister watched Evie for a couple of minutes while I was gone. I got this picture and the story explaining that Evie told Kate, "'I Evie potter,' after seeing this photo." As I'm typing this up, Evie looked over and again said, "Harry Potter! It's Evie Potter!"
I was talking with my mom and Evie snuck into Kate's room (because that's where all the make-up and toys are). I asked Evie what she was doing and she said, "I putting polka dots on the bear, I putting polka dots on the bear's bum." I was a little concerned, "Come show me." She came running into the room and showed me that she had in fact been putting polka dots on the bear's bum. We thought she may have found a marker or something, but it turns out she found some tacks and stuck them into the bear... I sent the story and picture to Kate, "Are those tacks? Or are they stickers? If they are stickers take them away I need those!" I'm glad she didn't find the stickers!
Evie had fun tucking Chloe and Janna in. Evie got a pillow from the bench and then put the blanket on, she then kissed them on the forehead (respectively). Janna asked if she could have another kiss and Evie leaned over and whispered, "sure can, Jan." Everyone got a huge kick out of that.
We woke up really early on the morning we came home, we got to take Kate to the airport and then hang out in Salt Lake for a couple of hours before we needed to be back for our flight. After we dropped Kate off we went to breakfast at Kneaders in the city creek mall, then we went to visit my grandma. Evie had LOTS of fun playing in her house. She loved playing with grandma Eva and grandpa Paul.
As we were leaving to head back to the airport Evie and my mom got to sit on the porch swing.
When we got on the plane the pilot and co-pilot let Evie into the cockpit. They even tried to let her play the controls. They asked if she wanted to to sit on one of their laps and push buttons! She just looked at them kind of funny. Would have been a cool picture, but I guess it's good to avoid stranger danger... Still cool she got to go inside and take some pictures.

The clouds looked so cool from the window I had to take a picture (when approved electronics were allowed of course).
About 5 minutes before the plane landed Evie fell asleep on my lap. I somehow managed to carry her off the plane with our three carry on bags, get Evie's stroller from the ramp, walk out of our gate, and sit down without waking her, or dropping anything. We had to wait for Jason to come pick us up and we had a while to wait, so we stayed in the terminal and I let Evie sleep for about an hour and then headed down to make sure our luggage didn't get lost/stolen. I even managed to get us to the baggage claim without waking her. I don't know how I would have been able to get our luggage as well, but one of the wonderful workers had a big cart and put our luggage on it and helped us out to passenger pick-up. Evie managed to sleep until I sat down at passenger pick-up with all of our stuff. Then we waited about an hour ish for Jason to finish work and come get us. Luckily people at the DIA are very interesting and kept us pretty entertained. One form of entertainment was someone with a light-up hula hoop.

Montana

After visiting my family for my brother's wedding last month, we drove up to Montana for a weekend. Jason had a couple of things he needed to do up there and we got to tag along/drive him around.

We ended up driving halfway on Thursday, staying in a hotel, and arriving in Montana on Friday. Let me tell you the hotel was not that fun. Evie is super active, even when it's pitch black. I spent about an hour and half trying to get her to lay down and sleep on a big bed with me or Jason (she has a big girl bed at home, but obviously doesn't share a room/bed at home). I gave up and decided we should try a pack and play (or something similar that the hotel had) and try to get her to sleep in that. [Background story: the last time we had Evie in a pack and play was when we went to visit Jason in Wray and we stayed in a B&B. We set it up and went to bed, she ended up climbing out of it and getting hurt, so we only wanted to use a pack and play as a last resort.] Anyways, by the time I had the pack and play set up it was about 11:30!
Our trip was very short, but also pretty well packed. We went out to eat, went shopping, went to Zy's basketball game, went to the farmer's market, and Jason took a really long test while we did all this fun stuff.
In Wyoming, on the drive up.

Don't tell grandpa, someone found his toy horse and decided to go for a ride. Grandpa Denny and my sister Kate don't like Evie playing with their toy horses.
 Zy's basketball game.
On the ride back home.
