REALLY?!?

Ok ok, I will admit it, I enjoy watching infomercials, I really do. There is something about them that just sucks me in. I turned on the television and the channel was on surprise surprise, an INFOMERCIAL!! Anyways.. I thought you mothers out there might find this interesting. I thought it was really neat, and not even expensive! YourBabyCanRead.com check it out if you want, I think it's really neat, and if it doesn't work, it was only 15 bucks

It is COLD

Outside and INSIDE our apartment. I woke up this morning around 7 and my face was pretty cold. I tried to remember if I had turned off the last night while watching a movie. Nope, the thermostat said the heat was on, but it was 60 degrees in here! Dang it! The pilot light went out! I stood there for a minute trying to decide if I should call the repairman and have him light it or if I really just didn't care and should leave it that way. Now normally I would immediately call the repairman and have him come over ASAP to fix my heat, but now that our gas bill has been extremely absurd for the past two months(It's nothing compared to my cousins utility bill, but it is still upsetting for a one bedroom apartment) I'm not sure if I want to help out the stupid utilities company and give them more money.  I am now relaxing on my couch at about 8:30 doing my usual blog sweep, with about 4 layers of blankets. I curse the day I decided not to bring my electrical blanket with me! Hopefully it starts to warm up a bit!

Awesome!

I WANT ONE OF THESE!!! It's called The workbox. I stumbled upon this beauty today while online and feel like I need one... Well, I need something like it! I showed Jason and he said maybe we could get me one for my birthday, and then we found out how much it was... I most likely won't be getting one for a very long time, if I do get one at all! The  price-tag on this baby is 1295!! One thousand two hundred ninty-five DOLLARS!!! Good grief that's expensive! Maybe in my dreams!!! If I have to put everything together myself I will!

BALENTIME's DAY!!!

Oh Valentime's day! I really do believe that there shouldn't need to be a designated day to show someone you love them. *unless of course it is your anniversary. However, I do enjoy having a little incentive to something "special," nothing big, but heartfelt.

Anyways... Jason is a romantic and I am quite happy for that. I woke up on Valentine's day to the sound of the door being locked (it's electrical and very loud). I was a little out of it and couldn't decide if Jason was just leaving, or getting home. I got up and realized he was just leaving. Perfect! I decided it would be a great time to do the dishes and clean the kitchen.

Jason got home and sent me to the living room, with my eyes closed. He set up a blanket blocking my view into the kitchen and I watched tv for about 2 hours. When he was finally finished in the kitchen he made me close my eyes again while he brought something from the kitchen into the living room. When he let me open my eyes I saw this.

He MADE me a bouquet of flowers out of fruit! He is so talented!! He also got me Oreos, hot chocolate, and a big ol' bottle of Bolthouse Farms juice! The rest of the morning Jason studied for a test and then went to take it, while I took his parents out for a little while shopping. When Jason finished his test we went out to eat with his parents. After dinner Jason's parents had to go up to their hotel in Salt Lake (they went on a cruise the next morning)! Jason and I went to my sister's choir concert with my parents. The concert wasn't even that bad! Haha, it had its good moments and its not so good moments. Overall we enjoyed it and had a good time.

After the concert we dropped my parents off and then Jason and I went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a really FUNNY movie, and I really recommend it, unless you are seriously in debt. If you are seriously in debt, you probably have bigger issues than deciding what movie to watch.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day!

Oh NO, It's a PARASITE!

It's been a little while...
Well, last week Jason had to do a presentation in his medical parasitology class. He has been showing me disgusting pictures from his book and explaining them to me. *if someone asks you if you want to see a prolapsed rectum, it's probably safe to say you don't, even though it is very interesting. Anyways, back to the story, one of the things he learned about was worms, gross, but of course they couldn't be just any worms, they were parasitic worms. He decided to do his presentation on those gross little worms and wanted to bring in a little treat for his class (what a cute boy)!
So, he had me make him sugar cookies (I am a true procrastinator and waited until about midnight the night before to start making those cookies). Not just any sugar cookies, but heart shaped, pink frosted, with a special treat. He came up with the idea all by himself! (I mean the entire idea! What a creative guy!) I finished at about 1:15 (I know, I know, Alton Brown would have been very upset with me not waiting for the cookie dough to chill in the fridge for an hour, but I wanted to get to sleep at a semi-reasonable hour).
Anyways, I made him 26 of these beauties, but didn't take a picture of them all together in their little party box (aka: albertson's doughnut box) so I had to take a picture of the only one left.

p.s. His presentation was on dog heart worms.
p.p.s. The worms did NOT fall off! (I frosting glued them on)

!!!!!!!FREE!!!!!!!

This morning, as I was taking Jason to school, we drove past Denny' s and there were soooo many cars there! Jason and I were very curious as to what that was about. I forgot about it and came home to do homework. (Of course I didn't just do my homework, I turned on the tv to watch the news as well) While I was working on a math problem I heard that Denny's was having free grand slams because of the superbowl! So I figured I would help you all out (if you read this in time) and tell you about this amazing find. It's only until 2 though, so hurry up.

Free breakfast at Denny's until 2!!! Yay for the superbowl!!!!!

Oh NO!

Apparently it is supposed to be winter for another 6 weeks! Darn groundhog, why don't we just put a blindfold on him next year, or maybe somehow make it so there is no shadow for him to see... Oh well, I guess winter started late for us anyways...
